My Ideal Park: Part 4- Finale

Here we are, the conclusion of this 4 part series where I attempt to paint a picture of what my ideal theme park will look like, from the entrance and basic overlook to a more detailed plan of each themed area within the park. While this would costa fortune to build and will never happen, it won't stop me from dreaming. In this final part we will recap and give an overview of the rides and areas of the park. Additionally, we will now look at the final area:

The Film Studio

Welcome to the final area, admittedly the least themed one in the park but I just wanted to get a bunch more rides in and have a solid place for all families as well as being indoors to cover all weather. That being said, it is still themed, just not in the same detail as it is meant to be a studio with multiple sets so that's my excuse for the lack of theme.

Wild Mouse

There is something so appealing to me of an indoor wild mouse, not being able to see where you're going while also spinning round is chaos and I am here for it. I imagine something like Storm Chaser as Paultons Park but in the building to some sort of action film setting, nothing groundbreaking but ticking the spinning coaster box at least. I'm going to go for a Reverchon model as I quite enjoy them and think it would work well

Vintage Car Ride

Nothing exciting, a ride I just quite enjoy, take a tour through another 'set' and a great ride for small children too, there's not much to say about this ride, probably based off a film set in a farm bescause that sounds original.

Mack Inverted Powered Coaster

Essentially, Arthur at Europa Park, but obviously a bit different. On a side note, I love what Mack does if it's not already obvious. This is designed to be the most memorable ride in this area, a story driven coaster that is captivating for the whole family, should be a fun ride to do and will essentially be a glorified dark ride so it makes sense that I'd put this in

Sizzler

About as themed as Flavio's was at Alton Towers but they actually put this on full speed to really throw guests around and give a fun atmosphere in the middle of the building, it will be in the centre of a massive food court, just so it is a real spectacle for guests and they can listen to music and watch the ride go while eating.

Dark Ride

Final one, I promise! This will only be a little one, hopefully with an IP for kids to enjoy predominately but either way, it should tell a nice little story, going through a hand full of scenes from said film and be a really popular ride amongst families.

Pirate Ship

An absolute classic, one I was trying to fit in to several areas but kept being pushed out so I threw in here as I want this indoor part to have a load of rides so when the weather turns there are lots of options. Some sort of pirate film on this ride, nothing nuanced but it will do its job nevertheless. I do like giving these rides a go so it is something I think would work well in this park too.

Drop Tower

Now this is not a full on drop tower as the building would have to be massive to make that work, however I think I will go for the new Attitude Rides and Attractions model that has 10 different modes and will offer whatever the guest wants and be able to fit in this building without making it ridiculously tall.

Overview and Recap

So that is the rides of the park done, personally I think this park is a great showcase of what the attractions industry has and will be great for enthusiasts, thrillseekers and families. I'd love to put this in the North of England somewhere but no idea where exactly but Ember Dome Park is definitely for us Northerners. Anyway, the 6 areas in this park are Teletubbies Land which is the kids area, then the main ones are themed to Space, Jungle, Middle Ages, Western and Movie Sets. These all fit around a large lake with paths wrapping around connecting each park as well as the monorail.

My personal highlights in terms of rides will be the space themed dark ride, jungle raptor, middle age boat ride, western RMC and film set wild mouse. All the rides have been planned out and put in place to cover as much as possible. My two favourite areas are the space and middle ages one but for different reasons: Space as the theme itself is my favourite and I can really visualise how it would look and Middle Ages for the storyline of the area that unravels a dark truth and will be very fitting for a UK based park and how we have lots of dark themes for rides.

This is a wrap for this series, make sure to check out all the other parts to see everything that this park will have to offer! It's the most ambitious and planned out work for this blog so far and has required a lot of effort to pull it all off. I hope you have enjoyed this journey through what we can all agree would be the best park in the country (Sorry Blackpool) and would have some world class coasters too. I look forward to seeing you all in the Ember Dome Park soon. 😉

As always, thanks for reading and let me know what you think about this park, would you visit?

Take care and see you in the next post!

Tom ✌

The Cedar Point Dream

Everyone knows this place, home to some extreme coasters, insane rides and one huge reputation. The coasters alone boast such a reputation with the first hyper (Magnum XL 200), the first giga (Millennium Force) and the first strata (Top Thrill Dragster) as well as rides such as Gatekeeper and Rougarou along with what is considered the best coaster in the world- Steel Vengeance. This park is the holy grail for many enthusiasts and I am one of those people so I thought I'd break it down and look at why I am so desperate to get to Sandusky, Ohio. History Of course the history undergraduate had to go straight to this but this park seems to have its history brushed to one side as its a park that constantly adapts, yet it is older then our old friend Pleasure Beach by 26 years and of their 16 operating coasters, only 6 opened this century. It's a park that keeps moving forward, always at the forefront of the amusement industry and breaking records. This is evident by the closure of

Trip Plans For The Coming Years

If there is one thing I love to do as an enthusiast when I can't go to parks, its plan what parks I would like to do and when. This started during the lockdown in October 2020 and I keep refining and updating the plan to keep it as accurate as possible. Firstly there's a list of park in the UK to expand my cred list beyond 100 that are aimed to be done in 2022.  UK Credit Plans Starting with a few places large and small, near and far with a total of 23 credits to gain in the next 12 months. Chessington is high on the priority list after not being able to fit in last year along with Southport Pleasureland. Then with the aim of mopping up the credits not too far away before I finish uni, I will hunt down West Midland Safari Park, Cannon Hill park, St Nicholas Park as well as Buffalo coaster at Drayton Manor. Then up near Manchester there are 2 coasters at New Brighton to tick off the list. Finally with the major trip of the year for this country in terms of new parks- Adventure

My Ideal Park: Part 2

Welcome back to this series, going through my ideal park that I am pretending to create. The main aim is to make an immersive, well themed, fun and exciting park and ultimately tailored to what I like to see in theme parks across the globe and drawing plenty of inspiration from these places. In this second part, we will be looking at the first 2 of 5 large themed area- these will be a Space and Jungle theme, situated on the immediate left of the entrance via a path through some trees will be the Space themed area and then travelling through a path to past the Space theme to the Jungle themed land.  Space Land To cover this, as I appreciate this s a relatively vague theme. This is set in 50 years time where society has set up a city on the moon. I know it's not too original but it seems pretty neat to me and think done right, will be the signature area of the park, aiming to be Phantasialand level theming across the park but this one just being pushed that bit further to stun guest
